The multilateral framework sets out a common vision for housing and lays the groundwork for bilateral agreements on the implementation of important initiatives in the national housing strategy. The provinces and territories provide federal funds to cover the costs of the National Housing Strategy through bilateral agreements with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. The Government Organization Act authorizes the Minister of Children`s Services to enter into agreements with Canada under which Canada commits to allocate funds to cover Alberta`s costs of providing early childhood education and child care programs and services, taking into account the poorest people. This agreement covers the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the purpose of the agreement.
